OVERVIEW
In our world, Essences are fundamental traits represented by distinct colors on each Her Monsters member's skin. These Essences—SLEET, PSYCH, BRIMSTONE, and VENOM—introduce a cyclical interaction dynamic, similar to rock-paper-scissors, where each Essence is dominant over some while being vulnerable to others. This system of interactions enhances the strategic depth of our gameplay and combat mechanics, influencing how players choose their characters. Understanding these dynamics is key for making informed decisions when selecting NFTs, as the interplay between Essences adds a crucial layer of strategy to missions and fights. They will play even more crucial roles in the future.
Brimstone (Orange)
The Brimstone Essence burns within your Monster, embodying brute strength and fiery passion that reflects in their skin. Brimstone’s fiery nature allows it to crumble and overwhelm the natural elements of Venom, making it extra effective in their clash. However, the old mantra of "mind over matter" rings true, as the Psych Essence’s mastery of manipulation leaves Brimstone vulnerable to its mental prowess. While Brimstone can break through Venom’s defenses, it must be cautious when facing the controlling power of Psych.
Venom (Green)
- Our Monsters are made up of 4 colors: Orange, Blue, Green and Purple. Each color represents the essence that makes up the Monster.
- PURPLE is the PSYCH Essence whose properties are MANIPULATION and CONTROL
- BLUE is the SLEET Essence whose properties are WATER and ICE
- GREEN is the VENOM Essence whose properties are NATURE and VENOM
- Each Essence plays in a cycle of Effectiveness and resistance to each other, like ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS. The cycle goes as follows: Blue > Purple > Orange > Green > Blue
- SLEET is vulnerable to VENOM, but resistant and extra effective to PSYCH
- PSYCH is vulnerable to SLEET, but resistant and extra effective to BRIMSTONE
- VENOM is vulnerable to BRIMSTONE, but resistant and extra effective to SLEET
+7% additional damage / 2% cancel the effect / 4% reduced by 1 turn
