OVERVIEW

In our world, Essences are fundamental traits represented by distinct colors on each Her Monsters member's skin. These Essences—SLEET, PSYCH, BRIMSTONE, and VENOM—introduce a cyclical interaction dynamic, similar to rock-paper-scissors, where each Essence is dominant over some while being vulnerable to others. This system of interactions enhances the strategic depth of our gameplay and combat mechanics, influencing how players choose their characters. Understanding these dynamics is key for making informed decisions when selecting NFTs, as the interplay between Essences adds a crucial layer of strategy to missions and fights. They will play even more crucial roles in the future.

Essence Groups

Brimstone (Orange)

The Brimstone Essence burns within your Monster, embodying brute strength and fiery passion that reflects in their skin. Brimstone’s fiery nature allows it to crumble and overwhelm the natural elements of Venom, making it extra effective in their clash. However, the old mantra of "mind over matter" rings true, as the Psych Essence’s mastery of manipulation leaves Brimstone vulnerable to its mental prowess. While Brimstone can break through Venom’s defenses, it must be cautious when facing the controlling power of Psych.

Venom (Green)

The Venom Essence flows through your Monster—alive with nature’s lifeforce and laced with deadly toxin. This essence thrives in the natural order, where water nurtures growth, making Venom particularly formidable against Sleet. However, the rigid form of Brimstone presents a significant challenge, as its solid presence always triumphs when clashing against nature’s more delicate form.

Sleet (Blue)

The SLEET Essence flows through your Monster, embodying both the fluidity of water and the solid strength of ice, untamed like the cold, rigid ocean. It faces challenges from the Venom essence, as nature’s ability to absorb water puts it at a disadvantage. However, SLEET is particularly effective against the Psych essence, as water’s vital presence supports clarity of mind, making it a crucial factor in overcoming the manipulation tactics of Psych.

Psych (Purple)

The PSYCH Essence pulses with unseen energy, embodying the mysteries of the mind and the unknown through its deep purple hue. Its power lies in manipulation and control, overwhelming Brimstone with the mantra "mind over matter," bending its rigid form to PSYCH’s will. However, the fluid nature of Sleet presents a challenge, as the mind depends on balance—too little water leaves it hazy, while too much floods thoughts, making PSYCH vulnerable to Sleet’s influence.

• Each Essence plays in a cycle of Effectiveness and resistance to each other, like ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS. The cycle goes as follows: Blue > Purple > Orange > Green > Blue
